Our journey began years ago when I started creating content as a freelancer. As Emmie prepared to relaunch her brand, she reached out for help in amplifying her brand awareness.

Osikani, rooted in London and inspired by a Ghanaian heritage, embodies mindfulness through its beautifully crafted candles and robes. The lack of consistent activity on her social media platforms, coupled with varying post quality and frequency, hindered her engagement efforts. As a one-person team, the demands of social media marketing alongside business logistics led to fatigue and inconsistency, ultimately putting her marketing strategy on pause.

Crafting a Tailored Strategy
To kick-start our collaboration, I initiated an onboarding process with a comprehensive questionnaire. This covered vital aspects of Osikani, including brand identity, target audience, and both short and long-term business goals. Our primary focus was on increasing brand awareness in time for the relaunch, setting clear KPIs: a 10% growth in followers and a 100% increase in reach and engagement.
The first month became a testing ground to observe how Osikani’s audience would respond to our efforts.

The outcome exceeded our expectations: Osikani achieved a 42% growth in followers and a staggering 300% increase in account reach and engagement! By engaging authentically with individuals in Osikani’s target demographic—without any hard selling—we fostered connections based on shared interests in health, mindfulness, and personal development.
Our approach involved commenting on relevant posts, initiating conversations through DMs, and following interested accounts. The result? A vibrant community that reciprocated our genuine interactions with enthusiasm.

Building on Success
With the positive results from the first month, we set ambitious yet achievable targets for the second month. Aiming for a 20% growth in followers from a starting point of 1.1k, I mobilized my team of specialists, each with tailored strategies to maximize our efforts.
Community management was entrusted to our communications specialist, while our growth strategist focused on identifying new prospects through competitive analysis. I maintained an active role by engaging in conversations and highlighting areas for improvement. This collaborative effort ensured that we were continually engaging and expanding Osikani's follower base.
By the end of the second month, we celebrated an increase from 1.1k to 1.4k followers, further solidifying our successful partnership.
